Why Choose Carbon Savers?

NSW Home Energy Saver:

Spread The Cost Over 10 Years At 0% Interest

Covers rooftop solar, and a battery can be bundled into the same loan

The Discount Comes Off Your Quote

✅ Prices Are Going Up, The Discount Is Going Down

Install now and you get the larger discount, plus lower bills from your next billing cycle.

The Federal Discount Shrinks Every January

The Australian Government’s Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme takes $1,500–$4,000 off a typical home system, straight off your quote. The certificates your system earns drop every January, so the same install costs more next year.

We Handle The Certificate Paperwork

We calculate the certificates your system earns, take them off your quote, and file them for you. Nothing to claim at tax time.

✅ Work With In-House Experts

Skip the subcontractors. Our own SAA-accredited installers do the work, so one company is accountable from quote to switch-on.

✅ Protect Yourself From Rising Power Costs

Every unit you generate is a unit you don’t buy. Households typically cut around $1,200 a year, and that figure grows as grid prices climb.

Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

Solar cuts your home’s emissions from the day it’s switched on, with nothing to change in how you live.

Up to $15,000 at 0% interest, repaid over 1 to 10 years

Covers rooftop solar, and a battery can be bundled into the same loan

Assessed by a participating finance provider, and we’ll walk you through it

Adding a battery is optional, and the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme takes a further $650–$1,500 off an eligible one

For NSW homeowners with a combined household income up to $210,000

That discount is set by the battery’s usable storage capacity, and requires joining a Virtual Power Plant (VPP)

Most NSW homeowners installing an eligible solar system can access an upfront discount through the Australian Government's Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).

Eligibility generally depends on:

  • Installing an eligible solar PV system
  • Using approved solar panels and an inverter
  • Having the system installed by an appropriately accredited installer
  • Meeting the requirements of the federal scheme

Unlike some state rebate programs, household income is not generally an eligibility requirement for the federal SRES incentive.

The federal solar incentive can reduce the upfront cost of an eligible solar panel system by $1,500-$4,000 for most homes, depending on the size of your system, your location and the current value of Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs).

The discount is generally applied upfront to your quote, so you pay the reduced amount rather than waiting to claim money back later.

On top of the upfront discount, solar can provide ongoing savings by reducing how much electricity you need to buy from the grid.

In most cases, no. Carbon Savers can calculate the value of the Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) your eligible system will generate and apply this as an upfront discount to your quote.

We'll also handle the certificate process, so you don't have to navigate the paperwork yourself.

If you also want to use the NSW Home Energy Saver zero-interest loan, that application is assessed by a participating finance provider rather than by us. Talk to our team and we'll walk you through what's involved and what you may qualify for.

To qualify for the federal solar incentive, your system must meet the requirements of the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).

This generally includes:

  • An eligible small-scale solar PV system
  • Approved solar panels and inverter
  • Installation by an appropriately accredited installer
  • Compliance with relevant Australian standards and scheme requirements

Carbon Savers will confirm your system's eligibility before installation.

Solar panels reduce your electricity bills by powering your home with energy you generate yourself. The more solar you use directly, the less electricity you need to buy from the grid.

You can maximise your savings by running energy-intensive appliances during solar generation hours, including:

  • Washing machines and dryers
  • Dishwashers
  • Hot water systems
  • Heating and cooling
  • Pool pumps

Any excess solar can be exported to the grid in exchange for a feed-in tariff. However, because feed-in tariffs are generally much lower than the price you pay to buy electricity from the grid, using your solar directly usually provides greater value than exporting it.
